Langkawi Trip - Part 4, Island Hopping - Pulau Dayang Bunting Geoforest Park and Eagle Feeding [Day 2]
Back to my Langkawi trip, the first day ended with a big smile on our face, thanks to Fat Mum..
On the second day, we got up quite early in the morning for our activity, island hopping..
We set off at a beach nearby Awana Porto Malai Resort, where you can see lots of boats parked at the seashore..

*The bitch beach*
The island hopping includes the Lake of Pregnant Maiden (Pulau Dayang Bunting), eagle feeding at Pulau Singa Besar, and also beach visit at Pulau Beras Basah..
Pulau Dayang Bunting, is an island that surrounded a so-called lake of freshwater in the middle of the sea..

*Life jackets*
When you are in the middle of the sea, it’s better to be cautious even if you know how to swim..
Who knows, as like what you always watch in movies, your legs might get cramped or something..
Or too much or scientific facts are not good too..It’s easy to float in the sea because of the saltwater but you won’t float if you don’t know how to swim!

*Lake of Pregnant Maiden (Pulau Dayang Bunting)*
That long stretch of hills is the famous Pulau Dayang Bunting, where you can really see the shape of lady pregnant lady..
Why it’s a lady and not a man you ask? Can you see the boob shape right below the chin? Hahahaha..
Then on the way to the Pulau Dayang Bunting, I think I found a new island..

*Bearbrick Island*
See this island, isn’t it look like Be@rbrick? Yes it does look like one..Don’t defy it..
I bet not many people notice this island..
*Dale and the few other passengers boarding the jetty*
It took us somewhere 10-20 minutes to travel from Awana Porto Malai to the Pulau Dayang Bunting Geoforest Park..
I never thought Pulau Dayang Bunting to be a geoforest park..I thought we’ll be playing around the beach side..

*Pulau Dayang Bunting Geoforest Park*
The island has been exploited and turned into a tourist spot..
The developer still managed to maintain the habitat (I’m not sure how much of it) and promote eco-friendly environment..Keep the island clean!

*Welcome to Dayang Bunting*
It wasn’t quite a lucky day as it rained very early in the morning..We had to take cover under the toilet..
Much more of the lake and the eagle feeding after the jump *jumps - toink*..

*Water bicycle*
I don’t know what is this supposed to be called but I shall call it water bicycle..It has a solar panel as well..I wonder what’s that for..
Extra charges for the water bicycle so I didn’t really bother to get a ride on it..

*Floating platforms*
The developer actually put in some floating platforms and made two small pools for the kids..Yes, you can actually stand in that two pools..
For something challenging, one can opt for the wide lake and have a good swim in it..Caution, go in only if you know how to swim..

*The Lake of Pregnant Maiden*
When we reached there, the crowd was not that large so I thought it would be quite a new place or something..
Not long after that, the crowd started to build up and yes, it was very crowded..Almost everyone jumps into the lake like this..

*Dive in!*
That’s right..If you know how to swim, just jump into the water *plop~wuushh wheeschhh*..
You can do it head first or even foot first, anyway you like..

*Dale trying to talk to the monkey*
We stayed there for about one and a half hour, which is actually quite long and a bit waste of time since we weren’t swimming..
We should’ve left the place after an hour for our next destination, the eagle feeding activity at Pulau Singa Besar..
There were plenty of monkeys on the island so I thought of skodeng some of it..

*The monkey with 2 long nipples*
Then off we boarded the boat again, headed to Pulau Singa Besar to see some eagles..
Since the trip is so-called Eagle Feeding, I thought there will be few specially trained eagles flying around
I never thought of seeing so many wild eagles flying around that spot and actually feeding on their own..

*See the brown and white spots above the boats*
Those are the eagles hovering above the water preying on fishes..

*An eagle flying around*
I’ve snapped many of them but most of the photos are not really clear enough to make gif animation..
This is one which is quite clear and I have to crop the photos to make the eagle looks bigger..

*Catch the fish*
Here is one I managed to burst my camera while the eagle was catching a fish..
They were so sharp..Why am I not surprise with the term eagle eye?

*Pulau Singa Besar*
I end my post here and shall continue the last stop of island hopping in the next entry due to amount of photos I’m going to post..
One advice, if you were to go for island hopping and have fun, don’t ever bring any big ass camera and bring a water proof one if you still insist of bringing one..
And if you want to take landscape photos, you may actually skip the island hopping trip..Save the RM40-50 and go somewhere else..LOL~!!
The next and last stop of island hopping trip was at Pulau Beras Basah, a beach side place for you to chill out and swim..
Until then, have a nice day..
Jeng jeng jeng! The eagle gif really thumbs up!
chingy >> thank you
