Hennessy Artistry Is Back From KK To Bangsar Mist Club

Just last week on 31st July 2010, Hennessy Artistry held in Kota Kinabalu (KK) for the time, after making stops in KL and Penang for the past 2 years..

Hennessy Artistry is coming back to KL and making its way to Mist Club in Bangsar on 18th September 2010..

Been attending to almost every single Hennessy Artistry back in 2008 and 2009, this year I’ve been slowing down, only attended the one at Opera Club, Sunway..

I’ve missed out the one in Zouk KL (29th May), QEII, Penang (27th May), and of course Whiteroom, KK (31st July) due to busy schedule..

Now that I’m free I will not let it slip out of my grasp again..

I need my doses of four Hennessy V.S.O.P’s signature long drinks – Hennessy Apple, Hennessy Ginger, Hennessy Berry and Hennessy Citrus..

A global musical phenomenon, Hennessy Artistry ‘The Global Art of Mixing’ parties also takes place in some of the largest cities around the world which includes New York, Shanghai, Taipei, London, and Los Angeles..

Among some of the big names who have performed at these international parties includes, Ne-Yo, Jay Chou, Fall Out Boy, Wyclef Jean, Leona Lewis, Jacky Cheung, and Sammi Cheng..

The parties in Malaysia have also been nothing short of impressive..Locally, the event has featured a host of star-studded performers such as Flo-Rida, Fatman Scoop, Shayne Ward, Boys Like Girls, Machi, Lenka, Dominique Tsai, The Ying Yang Twins, and many more..

This time around, Hennessy Artistry is introducing 3 artistes..First one being our homegrown electro-pop singer, ZE!..

She’s now touring in Europe with world-renowned French DJ/Producer, Joachim Garraud (producer or stars such as David Guetta, David Bowie, and Kylie Minogue)..

Her style is influenced by Madonna and drawn comparisons to Lady Gaga, The Ting Tings, and Santigold..She recently released her latest album, “I Am Glam”..

Joining her is Singaporean extraordinaire, DJ Inquisitive..

*DJ Inquisitive*

Besides being a world-class turntablist and battle DJ, he has also rocked clubs and festivals around Asia and Europe, sharing the stage alongside international acts such as Diplo, Steve Aoki, Lady Gaga, The Prodigy, Samantha Ronson, LA Riots and Kaiser Chiefs..

*Newly crowned Miss Hypertune 2009, Mizuki with Andrea Cheah, Miss Hypertune 2007*

The winner of Miss Hypertune 2009 is hailed from the country of the rising sun, Japan, Ms Mizuki-san..

IMHO, Mizuki was the standout one among other candidates because of her outspoken English-command during the Q&A session, even compared to the Malaysians..

*Congratulations to Mizuki*

Other than her good English-command, she’s also one of the very few ones that carried the quality of being a model..SHe’s just got the look..

She also holds a Master degree, mind you..

And of course, she’s one of the crowd’s favourite..

*Winners of other subsidiary titles*

The other winners of some other subsidiary titles include Rebecca Chan, Yen Chua, Aliana, etc..

I’m so disappointed that my favourite Evonne didn’t even get a single sub title, let alone getting into the Top 3 list..Sigh..My fingers crossed for Mizuki nevertheless..

Other than all these participants, there is another sexy lady who was the crowd’s favourite as well..

miss hypertune 2009 mist club sarah yap
*Sarah Yap*

The host Sarah Yap, the type of girl that I, or I would say most guys would really like..I’m very sure about that..

She’s one lady that I pretty sure everyone would vote for if she were to participate in Miss Hypertune..

Miss Hypertune – Semi-Finals @ Mist Club

Last weekend I joined the fellow Alphanatics to the semi-finals of Miss Hypertune, an annual model search made popular by the car magazine, Hypertune..

SONY Xplod was one of the sponsors so we Alpharians got to get some “media” passes and went to the event as photographers and all..

*Participants from all over Malaysia*

IMHO, some of the girls really cannot make it, as in their appeal..But I should applaud them for their courage to join such events..

*The 2009 Miss Hypertune candidates*

In the crowd there were one Japanese, one Russian, one Kazakh, one Indonesian Chinese, one Korean, and the rest were Malaysian Chinese..

Like many other events, most of these girls are student and/or freelancers..

*Group pic of 33 participants*

So the models were all posing in front of Mist Club before they went on stage to be judged by the panel judges, who half of it were previous winners or runners-up..

I’ve found my new love among the contestants..My favourite contestants of all is no other than Evonne..She’s the tallest among, standing at 172cm if not mistaken..

She’s a tad bit skinny, but it’s okay..She’s sweet, tall, and thin..My love~~

Look who is my new found second love..

YCOM @ Mist Club FTW

Young Comedians Of Malaysia is on the move again yo..

Went to Mist Club last Thursday for the YCOM Comedy Thursday..

Although, honestly, the crowd wasn’t quite pleasing but on the positive side, it’s getting better compared to their first appearance~! :D

It’s not a weird sight, considering Mist Club is relatively new in this clubbing industry so it’s all understandable it needs some time to build its fan-base here in Bangsar..

I guess it’s a matter of time for YCOM to create a new fan-base in Bangsar, after much success in KL and Damansara area..

*The dedicate fans*

These are the dedicated fans, like *cough* me *cough*..The familiar we see them in most of the YCOM’s acts..

Prepared with his Indian jokes to counter the so-called Indian-filled area, Bangsar, but most of the patrons that night made up of Chinese, so he said..

Jenhan, IMHO, one of the talented ones who always come out with fresh jokes and very much to our roots, which is easier to digest for certain groups of people who sometimes couldn’t understand jokes that are a bit Westernized..

It’s not easy to come up with fresh ideas and all..So more often, I think it’s definitely fine to put in some Western jokes that are much general so that people could understand more..

It’s a waste to think of something new but the crowd doesn’t understand the whole thing..FLAT~!!

*L>R – Alfred, Jenhan, Faisal, and Sri*

The usual bunch in Mist Club..If you happened to be somewhere around Mist Club say, Midvalley after work or after dinner, got no where to go, do head to Mist Club..

The YCOM Comedy Thursday is on every LAST THURSDAY of every month..

So the next comedy night would be on 30th July 2009..Mark down your calendar would ya?

But before that, do take note that this coming Thursday, 2nd July 2009, is YCOM’s first night at Velvet Underground, Zouk KL..Suppose to be in Little Havana, Changkat Bukit Bintang but Little Havana is not under renovation..

I heard they’ll be trying out a whole new concept, just like “Whose Line Is It Anyway” style..

Be there yo~!! Check out the Facebook for more info..

Laugh With FUSED Comedy Night @ Mist Club

Yes people, it’s the last week of the month again and it’s time for some laughing stocks..

Young Comedians Of Malaysia (YCOM) is bringing us FUSED Comedy Night at Mist Club again this coming Thursday, 25th of June 2009..

I’d been to their debut night one month ago and it was quite the bomb that I laughed all the way to my bed, and even in my dreams wtf..

Here are two videos that Joshua had recorded on that night..

*The reason Malaysian Kabinet is so lousy*

*Malay language is also known as English Beta Ver2.0*

I bet there’ll be much more funny and dying jokes that will make my tali perut pecah..

If you wish to die faster laugh all night long, be there at Mist Club this coming Thursday, 25th June 2009 before 9pm to get the best seat..

Club cover charge applies, RM35 inclusive of 1 drink if not mistaken..

Mist Club is just beside NSTP building at No 18 Jalan Liku off Jalan Riong, 59100 Bangsar..

YCOM Comedy Night @ Mist Club

Well, the other day I went to Mist Club with Joshua, Fuzz, and P.Dandelion for the YCOM Comedy Night..

It was their first appearance in Mist Club and I would say it’s expected that the turn out was a bit disappointing..

YCOM actually has quite a huge fan base and it’s increasing day by day..

Anyhow I was surprised that they still continued with the show despite the bad turn out..That’s the spirit man..

First, it was Chi Ho who did the opening act and man, he’s great..LOL~!!

*Chi Ho*

The Prime Minister definitely bought his cabinet from Courts Mammoth~!! No doubt about it~!! LOL~!!

Watch the clip that we’ve video recorded at Joshua – Lousy Kabinet..

Then, the second act was Kavin and he did it with the condom joke again..Nice one..

Came the third act, who was Faisal, the crowd started to build up a bit as cheers and applause can be heard joke after joke..

I quite like Faisal’s antics..He’s a Malay but not the really typical ones..He likes to joke about Malay and their privileges, which is a good thing~!!

And I heard he’s performing alongside Harith Iskandar in No Black Tie soon..Hmm, I shall wait and see..

Last but not least, I most enjoyed with Jenhan’s crazy shit..Perhaps it’s the first time I see him performs so yeah..He’s one funny fella with lots of Malay dramas..

He’s very natural with his Malay accent and acting like a Malay like what Malays usually do in TV dramas and all..

Not bad coz nowadays not many Chinese can speak fluent Malay, what’s more to act like one of them?

Watch the clip on how he mocked the Malay TV dramas at Joshua – Malay Language Also Known As English Beta Ver2.0..
