After you have read about the “main applications” in a BlackBerry, now it’s time to test DiGi 3G coverage, whether is it worth its RM58/month low price..
Not that i’m comparing it with other telcos but it’s fine to just comment on the DiGi line itself..

*BB Curve 8520 on GSM*
On start-up, my BB Curve 8520 is always on GSM aka 2G before it handover to EDGE due to the limitations of BB Curve 8520..
Curve 8520 doesn’t support 3G so the optimum signal it can get is EDGE..

*BB on edge connection*
If you see “edge”, that’s small letters, beware and NOT to surf around if you have subscribed data plan..
The “edge” connection is actually a normal connection that will charge you based on the amount of data you have used..
So if you surf or use applications when this “edge” sign is showing, it’s a sign that your data plan isn’t ready yet and you better tell DiGi about this problem..

The real sign that should be showing is the capital letters of “EDGE”, which means you are now running on data plan instead of pay-as-you-use rates..
If a phone can support 3G connection, it will show 3G and if in areas that have low 3G signal, the sign on your phone will drop down to EDGE or maybe GSM depending on the coverage of the areas..
So far my BB’s signal has never drop to GSM even when I was around outskirt area such as Cyberjaya and South Klang Valley Expressway (SKVE)..
I tried to make phone calls and I was amazed with its reception..
My biggest problem with my previous telco is the reception in my room..
I, as a Communication & Electronic Engineering student knows that the reception will drop if one is surrounded by walls or buildings..
So I couldn’t blame the telco for the bad reception but I couldn’t really bear with it especially when I pick up phone calls when I’m still sleeping..
I have to get up and find the best spot for the reception..
Tried with DiGi, I talked with no reception problem in every corner in my room..Asked my friend if there is any cracking or “robotic” sound, a firm NO is replied..
I am more than happy to stay loyal to DiGi just because of that..LOL~!!
Although last week there’s a slight mishap with its slow connection but they have swiftly restored its stable connection..
Even though DiGi is a new player in 3G coverage but as of late it has improved a lot and I bet they will keep on improving to accommodate its customers’ needs with the rapid growth of BB users..
Do check out DiGi BlackBerry packages..So far it’s the cheapest and affordable plan ever!

Yes, I’m using a Blackberry Curve 8520 and like I’ve did some tutorial on how to use a DSLR before, I’ve decided to give a slight bit of tutorial on what you can expect from a BB Curve 8520..
IMHO, BB Curve-Series is an economic BB, where its specs are far more inferior if compared to its fellow BB of the Storm-Series and Bold-Series hence the more affordable price..
Even so, a BB Curve could do wonders that most normal phones cannot do..
One of BB’s strongest fundamental features is the Push-Mail function..

*BB Curve 8520 - Push-mail*
I’ve integrated my Gmail with my BB Push-mail function and now I receive mails just like I receive SMSes..
I don’t have to download my mail nor wait for it to load, I just open my mails on my BB just like how people open their SMSes..
Other than Push-Mail, one of BB’s stronghold that I would say could change the SMS world in the near future, is the Blackberry Messenger (BBM)..
BBM is almost like any IM application but it’s for BB users only..

*BBM Barcode*
With BBM, one can key-in the user’s phone number or his/her BB-PIN to add a contact..
To make it more high-tech, you can display your BB’s Barcode, then scan the barcode through another BB’s camera..
You can also screenshot your BB Barcode, display it in your blog or somewhere so that other people can scan your Barcode without you telling them your BB-PIN..

*The few people in my BBM - Jynn, KY, Sharon, and Vivien*
After you’ve added your friend’s BB contact, you will no longer have to SMS your friend..You can message your friend via BBM..
That’s why I said it will change the SMS world in the near future..Honestly, I felt more intimate to chat with my friends on BBM rather than other IMs..
Other than that, there are few other apps that can be used and very popular as of late, such as Twitter..BB’s Twitter apps are the 2 more recognisable TwitterBerry and UberTwitter..
UberTwitter provides a much neat and better platform as compared to TwitterBerry..
Do read more on Blackberry phones below..

I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 in my hands just 2 days before CNY and it happened just at the right time..
I would say the BB Curve is the best “ang pow” that I have received this year..Due to my age, I’m not looking forward or excited bout moo-lah ang pows anymore..
The only thing that got me excited bout CNY is #cnyopentable and also my new BB Curve, with DG Smart Plan for BlackBerry subscription..
With the DG Smart Plan, I’m always online to check my mails and Twitter when I’m not at home, which happened most of the days during CNY-week..
You see, during CNY I was either out to visiting my relative or friends..
With DG Smart Plan for BlackBerry, I have unlimited Internet access with unlimited data transfer..
*Screenshot from Digi BlackBerry webpage*
Due to my hectic schedule on CNY-week, I have lacked of time to go online on my desktop, and to bring a laptop around is quite a hassle..
With just RM58/month with NO commitment fees on calls, I found that DG Smart Plan is the best plan for a BB user..
When I’m online, I make lesser calls or even SMS because I’m on my IMs such as Windows Live and BBM, Twitter, and Facebook..
It connects me to other friends of mine even I’m not meeting/visiting them on CNY..
I bet most of my friends saw me online almost 24/7 on CNY-week and I bet they were surprised to see me online instead of out visiting people..
Indirectly, I’m saving on my calls and SMS charges and also paying lesser for an unlimited data plan..
It’s my first time ever to go online 24-hours a day, even when I’m asleep!
The best thing about BlackBerry unlimited is I could switch applications easily and all that I need is that few apps and to surf with a decent browser..
That’s why I don’t favour an iPhone at all..Yes the awesomesauce apps that you could play with and all but I’m not into games..
Getting online alone is making me busy, get the games away from me will ya?
And have you ever tried Push-Email? I pushed my Gmail into my BB and it’s as easy as ABC~!! I just enter my email and password, voila! It’s done!
I don’t have to wait for it to load and all..I open my mails just like opening any SMS, fast and easy..
Having a BB in hands made me feel exclusive and VIP-style busy because I’m on my handheld almost all the time!
You will never see the BB leave my hands, except for driving and when I’m in the shower..
To sum it all, to have a BB is great but to surf with DG Smart Plan is even better because it’s affordable and reliable..
Try to search around if you could find any plan that could beat DG Smart Plan of RM58 only with zero commitment fees..I would say none..
The other day I have slight problem with my network and I tweeted @Digi_Telco, they sorted it out for me efficiently, on the first day of CNY!
Now I say join Digi Telco’s Facebook as well, they have a BB contest running now..

Have you ever heard that people who was born in the Year of Boar (Pig/Babi/Chu/Snort snort) is very lucky (compatible/get along well/ngam key/stim stim) with those people who was born in the Year of Tiger *rawr*..
For me to be born in the Year of Babi Hutan Khatulistiwa, I shall make some wish in this auspicious Year of Tiger..
First and foremost, I wish to finish my study by next year as in May 2011 to be precised..I don’t want to drag anymore..
I want to work, earn money, go party, find chickedy, you get my story?

But before I grad, my dream is to know more pretty girls in my Uni so that I could leave with no regrets, AT ALL~!!!
To know more pretty girls, I have to be standout among others which I doubt I can do it slumberly because I have lost my long hair, for months!
So to compensate that, I think by having a clean boy nerdy image would do the job..

In order to do so, I need some money so that I could refurbish myself to fit that condition..So money is of course my another dream..
But to get/earn money as easy as ABC, I need lots of lucks in this Year of the Tiger, I might need to visit Bangkok for some reasons *evil smirk*..
And again, to go to Bangkok, I need some moolah do fulfill my dream..

The easiest way is of course none other than to win the RM 8,888 at the Tiger Run event organized by Nuffnang..
As a Chinese, the Chinese New Year (CNY) is just around the corner, I think I shall flood myself with more Tiger Beer so that the Tiger luck is flowing in my blood whole year long..
YUUUUMMMMMMMM~~~~~~SENGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG~~~!!!!!

RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR = 8 guys drinking Tiger Beer~!!!!!
8 is an auspicious number for Chinese..Eight, lapan, 8, pat, hachi, pah, FTW~!!!

Yes, as some of you might have heard or already know that I have cut my hair short, real short..
It makes a difference between cut the hair short and trim it short..Trimming is like to tidy up the end part of the hair where long hair tend to have split ends..
I cut my hair NOT due to any sudden heartbreak or any extreme particular reason but just one simple reason, that’s I’m now training in an engineering firm..
Just a 3-months training and I’m cutting my hair short, which I’ve kept for 4-5 years..That’s how dedicated I am..
On one fine day, the day before I went to Langkawi, I had my haircut, and thanks to Wilson for spending his time taking photos for me at the saloon..

*That’s how long my hair is*
The last time I trimmed my hair was in early November 2008..
One year after that, I’m going for an extreme makeover wtf, for good!

*That’s Andy the hairstylist*
He’s tying up my ponytail with rubber band because I want to keep that precious ponytail of mine..
And not to brag about it but, lots of girls have been asking me to give them my ponytail wtf..
Did I really cut it? Go on and see for yourself..See to believe..

Been very moody lately because I’m still jobless..Was suppose to start my internship like a month ago but now I’m still unemployed..
Where has all the company goes to~?!?!?! Why are they not hiring?!?!?!
While I was window shopping in Cold Storage the other day, I saw this new flavor, Dill Pickle Extreme..So I bought it..
Believe it or not, the taste is very sour, much sour than McDonald’s burger’s pickles..
If you have fetish on McD’s pickles, do try this..

*Now you see, now you don’t*
It’s so good that I have to fight for it with my sisters who love sour food, a lot~!!!

*It’s good yo*
Sour food lover, this is the ultimate food for you to Krrunch Krrunch..

*Krrunch time FUUUUUUU~!!!*
The Pringles was so good that I really had a Krrunch time with it~!!!
As you can see I was doing the Hard Gay pose and it was Krrunch time FUUUUUUUUUU~!!! *raise hands up in the air and profusely shaking crotch*..
“It’s Krrunch Time, Get Playful”..Or rather, “It’s Krrunch Time, Get PlayFUUUUUUUU~!!!!”..
If you too want to have a Krrunch time, check it out HERE..
