God Of Carnage Sneak Preview @ PJ Live Arts, Jaya One

First of all, very much thanks to PJ Live Arts and Salina & Associates PR to invite the bunch of us from media and blogs to preview “God of Carnage” at PJ Live Arts Theatre, Jaya One last night..

Was there with Daphne and we definitely had a good laugh after a hectic week and the mount of stress and pressure..

“GOD of CARNAGE” is a 2009 Tony Award winning play which premiered in New York. The play at the PJ Laugh Festival will boast Malaysia’s own star casts of Will Quah, Maya Tan, Megat Sharizal and Lina Teoh..

*L>R – Megat Shahrizal, Maya Tan, Lina Teoh, and Will Quah*

Two young boys, a stick and some broken teeth are the catalyst in this tale of two families. Veronica (Maya), a writer and Michael (Megat), a company wholesaler, are parents to Henry..Annette (Lina Teoh), a wealth manager, and Alan (Will Quah), a lawyer, are parents to Benjamin. The two couples meet to discuss the misdemeanours of their sons..

I have to say the opening part was a bit shaky as I couldn’t really catch what they are discussing about where they were actually talking bout their sons fighting each other..

The conversation was a bit messy as the play were based exactly like the original one in Broadway, so the whole play is set in New York..

Strong English language were used and if you are not quite familiar with the set and the accent you might be the few confused one in the auditorium..

Fret not, the play was done very professionally and they really put up the work and effort in their face expressions and body language..

I bet you will start laughing on the expressions and body language then slowly pick up on the conversation later on..

Their acting was very convincing, IMHO, with the drunk expression, fights, and even something yucky that would really surprise you..

And I have to say it’s consider a rare occasion where you will see celebrities let loose and behave like a kid on stage apart from their supposed-elegant-look at events and all..

So a piece of advice, don’t sit in the front rows..Stay back a bit..You have been warned..

Well, it’s my first time to see a live stage play and it hits the right notes to me..I’m not sure if other plays were this good but I have to say I really like this play..

It’s like watching local sitcom ala “Friends” style, but live on stage in stead of TV..Great acting for a continuous 90-minutes with no intermission at all!

If you ask me, I would give it a rating of 8.5/10 for a first-time experience, plus all the acting especially on, urm, well I shall not spoil it..

You guys go watch it and have fun alright..The rating is solely based on my own opinion and yes I might have exaggerated it but it’s my first-time experience of watching a stage play..

“God of Carnage” have shows on 28th-30th April and 3rd-7th May for the 8.30pm show while 30th April, 1st May, and 7th-8th May for the 5pm show..

The ticket is selling at RM60 and I would say it’s worth the money for a 90-minutes breakaway..

IMHO, don’t bring your young kids with you or your “parents” image might get a little bit of setback..

So, just enjoy the show and do visit www.pjla.com.my for more information..

Daniel And Raven’s Wedding Morning Ceremony

First of all, congratulations to Daniel and Raven once again on their lovely wedding to mark a new beginning in their life together as husband and wife..

Known Raven for 9 years since the heydays of STPM..Time flies and everyone has moved on to a new journey in their life and Raven is the first from our batch to tie the knot on 20th November 2010..

If there’s a first, for sure there’ll be second, third and so forth..As expected, few more from our batch would tie the knot in 2011 should everything goes as planned..

Once we were close friends, and we shall remained as close friends for as long as can be..So I wish all of you all the best and we shall see each other again in such inaugral reunion dinner..

As promised, got up pretty early (on a Sunday) and headed to Raven’s house for the morning ceremony to be the unofficial photographer..

*Preparing for the games*

Here you can see all the maids of honor aka bridesmaid were busy getting their things ready because they didn’t prepare it earlier!

*The Ultimate Killer Drink*

This I call it the Ultimate Killer Drink, contained Pepsi Twist, raw eggs, chilli boh, and a bit of wasabi paste..

Now here’s a little story to  the games they played in that morning..

We had a little gathering at Raven’s house the night before wedding, heard the plans from the one in-charge of the games, BeeYan..Few of us guys, weren’t very happy with the games..

Not that they were too cruel, but they were rather too lenient..So when all of the bridesmaids have left, few of us helped alter the games a bit here and there to make it much more interesting..

The Ultimate Killer Drink was one of them..I’ll continue with the games as we move on..

*The groom, Daniel*

Now, if you are an avid fan of Hong Kong TVB drama, you will definitely know who is this guy..Can be seen in Forensic Heroes 1 and 2 and many other notable drama where he’s usually with the police force..

Ok just kidding..He’s not that HK actor but I can tell you that Daniel is 90% looks exactly like that actor, Chou Weng Nin (or however you pronounce/spell his name), in terms of face sturcture and even his smile..

*The groom and his groomsmen*

The groom had his warriors groomsmen wore their ‘uniform’ ala football style, short pants, knee-length football socks and sports shoes..

Daniel had about 15 groomsmen with him that morning and I applaud to that..It’s not easy to gather your best warriors to help you get Rapunzel off the tower..

So back to the games..It’s understood that the games provided by the bridesmaids for the groomsmen is a symbol of support by the groomsmen to help the groom in anyway they could in order to marry the bride, or something like that..

Earlier, we were told that the elders might not like something to extreme or raunchy hence the lenient games..

We thought that marriage is a once in a lifetime thingy..So I think it’s okay to have some fun which is not too extreme just for the sake of a lovely event on a lovely day..

First off, we have this..

*Groomsmen in ugly briefs*

I know this is normal but it wasn’t even in the initial plan! Wicked I know..I had it on for Wilson’s wedding and now I’m on the audience’s side for something funny and interesting..

Then we had the groom to use a marker pen to write “Daniel <3 Raven” on the butts of his warriors by using his mouth..

Then we got them to kiss each other wtf..

Much more raunchy stuff after we’ve consulted the bridesmaids..

Super Junior – Sorry Sorry (Misheard Lyrics aka Buffalaxed)

Now, have I told you that I really don’t like Korean songs, K-pop to be exact, and also their squint eyes..

Except for that I was interested in SNSD’s Gee song and MTV and am still, I don’t like any other of their songs unless it has the same impact like Gee..

That being said, I have somewhat hatred towards current K-pop..

Now you see, they have all these weird names for their groups and all such as 2AM, 2PM,2NE1, SS501, MBLAQ, and Rain, just to name a few..Here’s a whole list of it..

Well I’m quite a liberal person when it comes to music as I listen to all kinds of music, be it rock, sometimes pop, jazz, R&B, J-pop, Chinese songs, Malays, and many other genres that many might not be able to accept it..

But for K-pop, I just couldn’t stand it because most of the time they only dance and utter few words that sounded like they are moaning and groaning, then there goes the turntable-remix, then repetitive of moaning and groaning..

For some groups their dance moves might proved a slight point for their huge female fan-base but some are just ridiculous..

For one, here’s Super Junior aka Suju..Their latest hit song Sorry Sorry is, umm, I can’t seem to find a word for it, wtf?

I can understand females going crazy over them for their so-called cute face but guys getting excited about that MTV, is totally absurd..Worst case, gay..

Well I have no offense to gays as I have gay friends, yes read that it’s plural, but getting excited over their dance moves which a Primary kid could do as well, I don’t get their point or the hype of it..

The action of put your palms together and  position it in front of your face then start to move your head and hands to the left and right simultaneously, I’ve definitely seen it somewhere..

If you are a fan of HK-dramas, you would probably recall something..Yes, it’s the action that “Fei Mau” (Fat Cat), a down syndrome character played by Kent Cheng..

kent cheng
*Kent Cheng*

Yeah if you remember correctly he (Fei Mau) does that all the time..

But anyway, my point is their dance moves are very simple and easy that isn’t really worth getting excited..Try to compare with the likes of N Sync, Backstreet Boys’, etc etc..

Okay if you want to “cover-line” and say that you like their song instead of the dance moves, like I said, moaning and groaning..

Okay maybe a lot of you out there “understand” Korean after watching so much of emo Korean dramas like how I “understand” Japanese after watching so many Japanese animes and dramas..

I’ll still say fuck this shit! Especially for non-gay guys getting excited and all..

I always relate Korean language as being very rude because it sounds rude, to me at least..Sometimes Japanese do sounds rude but overall, their gestures showed their politeness..

I applaud for their effort in the recent concert at Bukit Jalil with a great platform set up and all but music-wise, definitely no no..

And due to that concert, I’ve created a Twitter hashtag for them called #sujusucks..From now onwards I’ll use the term “suju” to refer to something gay..

For examples, “You are so suju”, means “You are so gay”..

“You’ll definitely attract lots of male eyes with your suju look”, means “You’ll definitely attract lots of male eyes with your gay look”..

And this video here shared my exact sentiment on how gay Suju is..Read the lyrics..

You may hate me and say I’m biased but what I’ve stated are quite true and stop being gay please, guys!

I shall end it with “Sorry sorry sorry licka licka nigga nigga muncha muncha blowjob blowjob to you baby!”..

Okay this video and entry is just for laughs..The video I got it from Youtube and of course the lyrics wasn’t from me..Have a good laugh! LOL~!!!

My Dream In The Year Of The Tiger

Have you ever heard that people who was born in the Year of Boar (Pig/Babi/Chu/Snort snort) is very lucky (compatible/get along well/ngam key/stim stim) with those people who was born in the Year of Tiger *rawr*..

For me to be born in the Year of Babi Hutan Khatulistiwa, I shall make some wish in this auspicious Year of Tiger..

First and foremost, I wish to finish my study by next year as in May 2011 to be precised..I don’t want to drag anymore..

I want to work, earn money, go party, find chickedy, you get my story?

But before I grad, my dream is to know more pretty girls in my Uni so that I could leave with no regrets, AT ALL~!!!

To know more pretty girls, I have to be standout among others which I doubt I can do it slumberly because I have lost my long hair, for months!

So to compensate that, I think by having a clean boy nerdy image would do the job..

fisheye jenkin yat yatz

In order to do so, I need some money so that I could refurbish myself to fit that condition..So money is of course my another dream..

But to get/earn money as easy as ABC, I need lots of lucks in this Year of the Tiger, I might need to visit Bangkok for some reasons *evil smirk*..

And again, to go to Bangkok, I need some moolah do fulfill my dream..

jenkin yat yatz luffy

The easiest way is of course none other than to win the RM 8,888 at the Tiger Run event organized by Nuffnang..

As a Chinese, the Chinese New Year (CNY) is just around the corner, I think I shall flood myself with more Tiger Beer so that the Tiger luck is flowing in my blood whole year long..

RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR + RAWR = 8 guys drinking Tiger Beer~!!!!!

8 is an auspicious number for Chinese..Eight, lapan, 8, pat, hachi, pah, FTW~!!!
