King Without A Crown lyrics

[Chorus:]
What’s this feeling?
My love will rip a hole in the ceiling
Givin’ myself to you from the essence of my being
Sing to my G-d all these songs of love and healing
Want Moshiach now so it’s time we start revealing

You’re all that I have and you’re all that I need
Each and every day I pray to get to know you please
I want to be close to you, yes I’m so hungry
You’re like water for my soul when it gets thirsty
Without you there’s no me
You’re the air that I breathe
Sometimes the world is dark and I just can’t see
With these, demons surround all around to bring me down to negativity
But I believe, yes I believe, I said I believe
I’ll stand on my own two feet
Won’t be brought down on one knee
Fight with all of my might and get these demons to flee
Hashem’s rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe
Hashem’s rays fire blaze burn bright and I believe
Out of darkness comes light, twilight unto the heights
Crown Heights burnin’ up all through till twilight
Said, thank you to my G-d, now I finally got it right
And I’ll fight with all of my heart, and all a’ my soul, and all a’ my might

[Chorus]

[Bridge:]
Me no want no sinsemilla.
That would only bring me down
Burn away my brain no way my brain is to compound
Torah food for my brain let it rain till I drown
Thunder!
Let the blessings come down

Strip away the layers and reveal your soul
Got to give yourself up and then you become whole
You’re a slave to yourself and you don’t even know
You want to live the fast life but your brain moves slow
If you’re trying to stay high then you’re bound to stay low
You want G-d but you can’t deflate your ego
If you’re already there then there’s nowhere to go
If you’re cup’s already full then its bound to overflow
If you’re drowning in the water’s and you can’t stay afloat
Ask Hashem for mercy and he’ll throw you a rope
You’re looking for help from G-d you say he couldn’t be found
Searching up to the sky and looking beneath the ground
Like a King without his Crown
Yes, you keep fallin’ down
You really want to live but can’t get rid of your frown
Tried to reach unto the heights and wound bound down on the ground
Given up your pride and the you heard a sound
Out of night comes day and out of day comes light
Nullified to the One like sunlight in a ray,
Makin’ room for his love and a fire gone blaze

[Chorus]

Reelin’ him in
Where ya been
Where ya been
Where ya been for so long
It’s hard to stay strong been livin’ in galus (exile) for 2000 years strong
Where ya been for so long
Been livin in this exhile for too long

Til then, see ya guys around..

The Strokes - Someday

Saturday, June 21st, 2008

I was browsing through my MP3 folders trying to listen to my old collections, as I seldom download new songs..

My thinking is that I can always listen to new songs in the radio and I quite bored of them..So I listen to old songs on my PC more than new songs..

Then I came to this song, Someday by The Strokes, taken from the album Is This It..

It’s the uprising Brit Rock-indie kinda genre, where local bands like Meet Uncle Hussain, Hujan, Estranged, and many others are following..

Someday Lyrics

In many ways, they’ll miss the good old days
Someday, someday
Yeah, it hurts to say, but I want you to stay
Sometimes, sometimes

When we was young, oh man, did we have fun
Always, always
Promises, they break before they’re made
Sometimes, sometimes

Oh, My-ex says I’m lacking in depth
I will do my best
You say you wanna stay by my side
Darlin’, your head’s not right
See, alone we stand, together we fall apart
Yeah, I think I’ll be alright
I’m working so I won’t have to try so hard
Tables, they turn sometimes

Oh, someday…

No, I ain’t wastin’ no more time

And now my fears
They come to me in threes
So, I
Sometimes
Say, “Fate my friend,
You say the strangest things
I find, sometimes”

Oh, My-ex says I’m lacking in depth
Say I will try my best
You say you wanna stay by my side
Darlin’, your head’s not right
See, alone we stand, together we fall apart
Yeah, I think I’ll be alright
I’m working so I won’t have to try so hard
Tables, they turn sometimes

Oh, someday…

I ain’t wasting no more time

Is this one of your favourite song as well?

Nokia IAC @ Zouk - Part 3, Closing Acts

Tuesday, May 20th, 2008

Here comes the finale part of the long dragging Nokia IAC series..Check out Part 1 and 2 if you haven’t..

In the Main Room, there’s Silent Scenery (no not Silent Scream)..I very like their music..It’s very hard to find in this new era, where a lot of bands played 70’s music and Brit-rock genre kinda music..

It gave me the feeling a little bit of John’s Mistress, Disagree, Nice Stupid Playground, Love Me Butch, and Goo Goo Dolls..

*Kit (left) on the vocals and guitar while Ivan on second guitar*

*The crowd mesmerized by their unique melody*

*Kit and Ivan*

*Lipei on the bass and Sawaki Seikan on drums*

Here I’ve recorded 2 videos of their performances..

Then on the Terrace Bar, we had award-winning veteran artiste, Pete Teo doing a song-writing clinic..

*Veteran artiste Pete Teo*

While on the Velvet Underground, the big acts of DJ Fuzz and Point Blanc were there to close the curtain..

*One of Malaysia’s finest DJs, DJ Fuzz*

*Ipoh Mali’s Point Blanc*

*Chipster Nokia man David Lian*

All thanks to Nuffnang for the exclusive passes and Nokia PR man, David Lian, for the event and also passes..

And kudos to Nokia Independent Artists Club (IAC) for such successful event, to bring about the talented local bands and exposed the public with Malaysian flavor of music..

Nokia IAC @ Zouk - Part 2, Opening Acts

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

Continue from Part 1..

In the Main Room, where ‘I Quit Antartica’ hailed from Jitra, Kedah, was the first band to perform in there..I must say that most of them didn’t like their music but it sounds fine to me..

*I Quit Antartica*

They were influenced by Fear BeforeThe March Of Flames and Isis..But I’ve never heard of these 2 bands and for me, the songs were like pieces from Slipknot, Disturbed, and System of a Down..

You know, the songs that goes “Whaaaargh dhaaaa heeeeelgh~!!! *with very very deep grunt voice*“..I’m fine with it coz I like Slipknot, Disturbed, System of a Down and the likes..

Well their first piece was not bad..I quite like it..Then after that, I joined the group to the Terrace Bar for some acoustic feeling..

*The crowd at Terrace Bar*

The band that were playing that time was Lurks..After that was Mohd Jayzuan from Ipoh to give a little of Malay flavor..

*Lurks on the stage with some emo songs*

Then it was Alda Tan of Cosmic Funk Express to do a bass clinic, giving guidelines of what can be done with the bass..

*That’s Jayzuan with Alda Tan during the bass clinic*

*Alaling*

The pretty Alaling has sweet voice and I guess everyone enjoyed themselves when both pretty face and sweet voice combined together..

After that I hang around around Velvet Underground for a different flavor, DJ mix and Hip hop..The room was quite empty at that time, around 5pm..

Perhaps it’s still early or something..

*That’s Skyler (blue) and her friend with the WTF hand sign*

After a while in Velvet, it was Bo-Grandeur of Decibel with his afrodisiac hair, showing off his hands and composition skills on the DJ-mix apparatus..

Well, wasn’t really paying much attention on it but I guessed it has nice composition and all, coz there were 2 fella shuffling there, not at PD with DJ Tiesto..LOL..

*Nicky C, been DJ-ing for almost 18 years*

Anyhow, the bloggers were more impressed with David Lai’s magic trick..I guess they weren’t really like DJ or Trance or the likes of it..

*David Lai with his card tricks*

*David Cheong holding David Lai’s bended fork*

I guess that’s about it for the Opening Acts..Will finish it off with the Closing Acts very soon..Adios..

The mysterious Simon Seow, whom appears in almost every single event in the Klang Valley..

*Me, JoshuaOngYS, and Nigel*

The ever free trainee Joshua and Quiksilver’s Nigel Sia..

*SapsapSui, me, and Jason Lee*

Two of the very few bloggers from my Uni, Kelvin a.k.a Wetwetwater (SapsapSui) and Jason Lee..

*Josephine and me by Cincau*

*Why Nigel look so scared behind me? My long ponytail scares the hell out of you? LOL*

*The whole lot of bloggers where MOST of them are Nuffnangers*

Behind, L>R - Stanley, Robb (blocked by Stanley), Hwei Ming, CincauHangus, LogicYuan, and Thomas..

So umm, we started off in the Main Room..Main Room is for rockers, be it softrock, hardrock, gospel rock, heavy metal, grunge, Brit-rock, or indie rock..

Before the event kicked off, what else other than wandering around..

*The jakun people*

*The gang on the other side*

*Jason and Kelvin preparing their weapon as well..Josephine sitting in the middle*

*The instruments that are prepared by Nokia IAC*
