Have you ever heard that people who was born in the Year of Boar (Pig/Babi/Chu/Snort snort) is very lucky (compatible/get along well/ngam key/stim stim) with those people who was born in the Year of Tiger *rawr*..
For me to be born in the Year of Babi Hutan Khatulistiwa, I shall make some wish in this auspicious Year of Tiger..
First and foremost, I wish to finish my study by next year as in May 2011 to be precised..I don’t want to drag anymore..
I want to work, earn money, go party, find chickedy, you get my story?
But before I grad, my dream is to know more pretty girls in my Uni so that I could leave with no regrets, AT ALL~!!!
To know more pretty girls, I have to be standout among others which I doubt I can do it slumberly because I have lost my long hair, for months!
So to compensate that, I think by having a clean boy nerdy image would do the job..
In order to do so, I need some money so that I could refurbish myself to fit that condition..So money is of course my another dream..
But to get/earn money as easy as ABC, I need lots of lucks in this Year of the Tiger, I might need to visit Bangkok for some reasons *evil smirk*..
And again, to go to Bangkok, I need some moolah do fulfill my dream..
The easiest way is of course none other than to win the RM 8,888 at the Tiger Run event organized by Nuffnang..
As a Chinese, the Chinese New Year (CNY) is just around the corner, I think I shall flood myself with more Tiger Beer so that the Tiger luck is flowing in my blood whole year long..
It’s the Tiger Year in the the Lunar Calendar this year hence Tiger Beer organized an exclusive event to get its supporter to go “Hari-hari Mau”..Pun intended..
Thanks to Tiger for such event and of course thanks to Elaine for the media passes..
Other than media people and reps from Tiger, there were also some local celebrities and other VIPs, not to mention some pretty girls..

My flash kinda gave me a hard time that night thus I have to leech other people’s photos..
Since I was little, I’ve seen so many performances of lion dance, until somewhere Primary 6, that is..
After I’ve entered secondary, not much sight of lion dances during CNY in houses of the rich or so..
Only can see lion dances on new shops opening and/or big events with China-man bosses..And now, our local performers bring you the Tiger Dance, which is SOMETHING new..

It brought back sweet memories, maybe due to my tipsiness after drinking few bottles of Tiger Beer..LOL~!!

Those were the top people of Tiger (M) giving a long “Yummmmmm Senggggggg” to the crowd and never fail, the crowd for sure would reply back with the same words..

After the toasting and all, the organizer had some of the guests to go on stage and played some games..
They played a bit of trivia Q&A games involving Tiger Beer then went on with something nasty and sexy *roars*..

IMHO, Mizuki was the standout one among other candidates because of her outspoken English-command during the Q&A session, even compared to the Malaysians..

Other than her good English-command, she’s also one of the very few ones that carried the quality of being a model..SHe’s just got the look..
She also holds a Master degree, mind you..
And of course, she’s one of the crowd’s favourite..

I’m so disappointed that my favourite Evonne didn’t even get a single sub title, let alone getting into the Top 3 list..Sigh..My fingers crossed for Mizuki nevertheless..

The host Sarah Yap, the type of girl that I, or I would say most guys would really like..I’m very sure about that..
She’s one lady that I pretty sure everyone would vote for if she were to participate in Miss Hypertune..
Chef Martin Yan was in Malaysia over the weekend for a 3 days cooking event, an endorsement for GE Monogram kitchenware at few selected kitchenware shops..
The one I attended was at Benova in Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) Plaza..Thanks to Sid for the invite..

Benova, this kitchenware shop is situated just opposite of Caltex, facing the main road..
I guessed it is one of the few selected kitchenware stores that is selling GE Monogram hence the presence of Chef Martin Yan in this place..
Martin Yan was born in Guangzhou, China in 1948, learned cooking at the age of 12, then moved to Hong Kong when he was 13..
He has his own cooking show called “Yan Can Cook” since 1978 and is still running in the America, which I remembered watching it when I was in Primary school..
His signature move is chop things with very fast pace that creates the sound of “tap.tap tap tap.tap tap.tap tap tap.tap.tap tap” on the chopping board..And the legacy still lives on til now, after so many years..

Chef Martin Yan invited Chef Sun to become his assistant..Chef Sun is a chef for a renown Chinese restaurant in Malaysia..
Martin Yan is a smooth and sweet talker..The way he conveyed his messages was very comedic and the crowd enjoyed every moment of it..
I was laughing through the whole cooking session..

Here Martin Yan showing his skills to rip off the bones of a whole chicken in a matter of few seconds to have a whole of boneless chicken..
He cooked about 3-4 dishes, and strongly promoting Lee Kum Kee when he used its oyster sauce and also soy sauce..
I have to agree with him that Lee Kum Kee is the best! My father is using Lee Kum Kee’s Light Soy Sauce and also Dark Soy Sauce..Slurps..

Among so many kitchenwares GE Monogram, Chef Martin Yan stressed on the air ventilator, refridgerator, oven, and few others..
At the end of the cooking session, few lucky draw winners got to bring home a Martin Yan’s cookbook, Culinary Journey Through China, with a on-the-spot-handwritten message and signature from the man himself..
Our fellow foodie Mei Yee and her husband won themselves TWO of that cookbook..Lucky couple!

Last weekend I joined the fellow Alphanatics to the semi-finals of Miss Hypertune, an annual model search made popular by the car magazine, Hypertune..
SONY Xplod was one of the sponsors so we Alpharians got to get some “media” passes and went to the event as photographers and all..

IMHO, some of the girls really cannot make it, as in their appeal..But I should applaud them for their courage to join such events..

In the crowd there were one Japanese, one Russian, one Kazakh, one Indonesian Chinese, one Korean, and the rest were Malaysian Chinese..
Like many other events, most of these girls are student and/or freelancers..

So the models were all posing in front of Mist Club before they went on stage to be judged by the panel judges, who half of it were previous winners or runners-up..

I’ve found my new love among the contestants..My favourite contestants of all is no other than Evonne..She’s the tallest among, standing at 172cm if not mistaken..
She’s a tad bit skinny, but it’s okay..She’s sweet, tall, and thin..My love~~
