Weezer – Say It Ain’t So

Weezer, formed in 1992 in Los Angeles. The band currently consists of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums, guitar, backing vocals), Brian Bell (guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), and Scott Shriner (bass, backing vocals, keyboards).

Say It Ain’t So, is a single from its self-titled debut album in 1994. It’s the third single by Weezer and has remained their most popular song of all-time.

This song, of course, remains one of the best alternative songs of the 90′s.

Written by Rivers Cuomo, he believed his parents’ marriage ended because his father was an alcoholic and this made him fear the marriage between his mother and step-father would end this way as well. Hence this song.

Heineken Club Bottle – Heineken Color Series

Following its exciting unveiling during Milan Design Week 2013 and its Malaysian debut at Heineken Thirst, the exclusive and limited edition Heineken Club Bottle continues to redefine the after-dark drinking experience with the Heineken Color Series in March and April.

The Heineken Club Bottle was the centrepiece of Heineken’s Maggazzini installation at Milan Design Week. Maggazini was conceived as an experimental creative space that featured collaborations between the brand – world renowned for expanding the boundaries of creative culture – and leaders in the design world.

This collection of pioneering designers, artists and publications included Designersblock, PechaKucha, Cool Hunting, Joshua Davis, Tuttobene and Heineken Club Bottle creator, Matt W. Moore.

In Malaysia, we have a long history of working closely with the creative community on cutting edge art projects. The Heineken Color Series enables us to bring those international and local elements together to create a new experience for our Malaysian consumers.”, comments Jessie Chuah, Heineken Marketing Manager.

In normal daylight the aluminium Heineken Club Bottle features a frosted geometric pattern framing a signature green star. After dark, under ultraviolet (UV) light a new story emerges. A new personality of startling fluorescent greens and blues shines through, vividly lighting up the club space to reveal a stunning piece of hand-held art.

Heineken Club Bottle designer Matt W. Moore is one of the most electrifying graphic designers and installation artists of the last ten years. A pioneer of the Vectorfunk style of graphic design, his work blurs the lines between technology and street art.

His Monumental Murals can be found on walls in cities across the world while his work with brands includes collaborations with companies like Heineken and even a design takeover of technology zeitgeist publication Wired.

At the Heineken Color Series, Kuala Lumpur would experience the UV magic of the Heineken Club Bottle. This exclusive series kicked off with BATE and Hulkas presenting a night of fast moving electronica and EDM at Vertigo on Saturday March 8.

The Heineken Club Bottle later moved to KL’s biggest regular night, LOUD featuring Goldfish and Blink at Zouk on March 22.

On April 5, the series closed at The Rabbit Hole, an exciting new concept bar and club on Changkat Bukit Bintang with special guest DJs such as LapSap. The Heineken Color Series brought together music, fashion and design in an unforgettable Heineken Club Bottle experience.

HAPA-GAB Excellence Awards 2013-2014

The HAPA-GAB Excellence Awards 2013-2014, hosted by Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB) in collaboration with Hospitality Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA), is set to return to Kuala Lumpur on 16 April 2014.

The number of entries for Malaysia’s premier hospitality industry awards has almost tripled following the success of the inaugural Awards in 2012.

One of the most anticipated hospitality awards in Malaysia, the HAPA-GAB Excellence Awards is a biennial award that will see GAB partner outlets in the country competing in eight award categories:

In order to ensure the highest standards of judging would be held, GAB partnered with HAPA, an independent body and leading regional hospitality awards programme, to facilitate the judging process.

The panel of judges, a confidential group of experts and influential tastemakers selected by HAPA, visited the nominated outlets anonymously within a five-month period as part of the stringent judging process.
