Had an early Father’s Day celebration on Friday instead of Sunday to beat the crowd at Brotzeit, Midvalley Megamall.
Brotzeit is a German beer bar and restaurant located at the Boulevard nearby Maybank.
First off that cannot be missed, German beer, the Paulaner Original and Paulaner Dunkel Hefe to cool off from the hot weather.
Other than the draught Paulaner, Brotzeit also offers a wide range of bottled German beer.
The Brotzeit Platter, a promotional offer for 4-5 pax at RM175.
It comes with the German Pork Knuckle, assorted sausages, pork schnitzel, and 2 side dishes.
The oven roasted crispy pork knuckle wasn’t too bad especially the fat-soft and yet crispy skin but my jaws gotten a bit tired after a while chewing them. The meat was slightly too dry even with the sauce.
Pork Schnitzel, deep fried escalope of veal that for a moment I thought it’s a fish fillet. Don’t get me wrong, it was good, but nothing special.
The sausages were pretty good, too. With this platter, we got to try few of it instead of ordering few plates of sausages.
Ham Pizza, with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, belly bacon, leg ham, green bell and red bell peppers, cocktail onions, and mushrooms.
The stuff are on a thin crust and it’s a good cheesy pizza.
Overall it was a satisfactory dinner and I would mind to come back again due to its location but if you are looking for something with better quality and more affordable price, I believed there’s more out there.
Not to forget, it’s good to have your family around especially on occasions like Father’s Day and other festive seasons.
*Youngest sister Eshan and dad*
*Me, my sister Min and her husband Kelvin*
It’s even better when your extended family member is also close to you and celebrate together.
Stay close to your family and do care and concern about them for they are your family. You only live once and family comes first, friends come second, or slightly below family.
