St Patrick’s Day @ Changkat Bukit Bintang

St. Patrick’s Day, an Irish celebration occurring on 17th March every year is celebrated around the world and it’s the second year in Malaysia that Guinness has taken it to the street at Changkat Bukit Bintang..

With a staggering 435,456 people joining the campaign around the world in the spirit of friendliness, GWR has confirmed two new Guinness World Records have been set, making St Patrick’s Day officially the world’s ‘Friendliest Day of the Year’..

To verify that the 17th March 2012 was officially ‘The Friendliest Day of the Year’, GWR has spent the past 12 hours painstakingly counting the number of online pledges and the number of people who attended the St Patrick’s celebrations around the world for two GWR titles – the Most pledges received for a campaign and the Largest St Patrick’s Day celebration worldwide..

I’ve missed the 2011 street festival so I thought I should join them last Saturday..Fortunately I didn’t miss out a lot because they have the Arthur’s Lounge and Comedy Club KL this year!

Yours truly in a green-ish themed shirt to go with St Paddy’s Day theme..

Jason in his black to go along with Guinness..

In the Arthur’s Lounge, we get to pour our own pint, half pint to be exact, and get a ‘customized’ Guinness pint glass with our name engraved on it, all for RM50!

The street of Changkat Bukit Bintang was filled with people of all ages, races, and of course, nationalities! What is St. Patrick’s Day without the Irish, or the closer ones, British around?

They even have fireworks prepared and it’s no small stuff..The fireworks were at least 5-minutes long!

One of the Guinness ambassadors, Kim Choo, happened to be an online friend..Great to meet her there, and of course some other bloggers who I’ve not met for quite some time at the party..

With my photographer of the night, Jason Lee..He’s totally available, for shooting and other things as well..LOL..

The ambassadors stationed at The Social, Angeline and Kim..

Two cups of Guinness Chocolate Mousse, not bad I must say..

With every purchase of 4 glasses of Guinness Draught or 1 bucket of Foreign Extra Stout on any day in the month of March 2012, you are entitled to one limited edition Guinness St. Patrick’s Shot Glass..

Make sure you collect all 5 designs!

The happening crowd were flocking the street even at 2am! The Guinness World Record is no easy feat and we know how it happened..

It’s no joke when they said it’s the largest Guinness St Patrick’s celebration in Asia this year! Yum seng everyone!
