Run Over The Line Divider

Well okay, I don’t know what those lines are called so let’s just say it’s called line divider..

You know, when you come to a diverging road on highway or any road there will be lines before you reach the divider..

Usually, lots of motorists like to cut queue on these line dividers and I really hate it because those who are in line are also in a rush and they have wasted time to queue up..

So in what excuse can you say that you are in a rush and I’m not?

On 9th of July 2010, I got bored when I was in line at the Bandar Tun Razak exit after Connaught‘s Giant, PJ-bound, some smart ass cut queue as usual..

That road is quite a hot spot for motorists to cut queue during lunch time and off-work hour..

So here’s an image I snapped on my mobile phone..

*Toyota Wish – WPE 823*

Of course there were some escaped at that time and it just so happened that this Toyota Wish WPE 823 is the lucky one to be featured in here this time..

On the bright side, this Wish is not the only one I’ve captured coz I passby that road almost everyday..More to come in the near future..Cheers!

Faye Wong – Hong Dou (Red Bean)

Faye Wong, one of Hong Kong or China finest female singesr of all time due to her distinctive vocal techniques, namely singing it like Dolores O’Riordan, vocalist of Irish rock band The Cranberries..

Born in Beijing, she has gained numerous achievements in the East Asia, including becoming the first Chinese singer to feature in a video game theme, Final Fantasy VIII for “Eyes On Me”..

The CD single has sold over 400,000 copies and later on became the first video game song to win an award at the 14th Annual Japan Gold Disc Awards, where it won the “Song of The Year (Western Music)” in 2000..

In the same CD single, it also features “Red Bean (Hong Dou)” in the 3-tracks CD, where “Hong Dou” is released in Faye Wong’s 1998 album, Scenic Tour..

“Red Bean (Hong Dou)” is about a relationship where a person is missing the other half..

This song is then covered by HK sensation Khalil Fong, but I found it a bit gay, though some might beg to differ..For me, the original version still rocks!

So here’s the music video of Faye Wong‘s “Red Bean (Hong Dou)” and pin yin lyrics..

Mei Ling And Tan Qian Photoshoot @ Taman Bukit Jalil

After a long hiatus due to my engineering projects of Digital Piano and IR Remote Program Code Reader and final exam, I’m now free for at least 1 month..

And speaking of busy, I didn’t really touch my camera for quite some time and Tony, Jason and I did some stress release by having 2 pretty coursemates from the Chemical Engineering major to have a photoshoot with us..

It’s fun to have them with us on a Saturday morning at Taman Bukit Jalil with few “country themed gardens”..

Here are some of the photos..

*Tan Qian*

This is Tan Qian, hailed from China..She’s been staying in Malaysia for more than 5 years and speaks good local slang as well :P

mei ling taman bukit jalil
*Mei Ling*

Mei Ling, a sweet girl who seldom talks but once you’ve got to know her, she’s kinda chatty too..

mei ling taman bukit jalil
*I want you!*

Most of the photos were taken using Sony SAL-75300mm, zooming at full-range..

One of my habits of taking outdoor portrait photoshoot is using tele lens..The bokeh effect is one of the reasons..

You don’t even need a low aperture tele lens to get some nice bokeh and that will serve you pretty well as a starter at a more affordable price..

tan qian taman bukit jalil
*Abandon house*

There’s an abandoned house kinda place which I think it’s not supposed to be like that but it’s quite old and not well maintained hence the wrecked window frames..

Correct me if I’m wrong..LOL..

mei ling taman bukit jalil
*The dark moment*

This photo is to reflect her “darkest moment” hence the black and white style to further enhance the feeling in it..

mei ling taman bukit jalil
*Loneliness #1*

The feeling of being abandoned doesn’t feel good at all..

tan qian taman bukit jalil
*Loneliness #2*

The long-wait for someone seems to be very torturing..

tan qian taman bukit jalil
*Loneliness #3*

I must applaud Tan Qian for her anticipation in this photoshoot as she put up a great emotion on this set..

Jason requested her to shed some tears, not to the extent of crying out loud and yeah, she did it perfectly..

Just a slight teary eyes for this set and I can actually feel her when I was looking into her through the lens..

Warning At Petrol Sation For Foreign Registered Vehicle

Malaysian Government has announced that starting on 1st of August 2010, all foreign registered vehicle is not allowed to pump RON95 petrol..

They are also not allowed to pump diesel of more than 20 litre at a time at any petrol kiosk within the vicinity of 50km from the border..

Good news is they can pump RON97 without any limit..

*Taken at Shell Station in Taman Connaught*

This warning notice is taken by me at a Shell Station in Taman Connaught..

Can you spot the mistake in this notice?

Now take a deep breath and read out loud the warnings written on the notice..

Still don’t get it?

Once again, the notice is a warning towards foreign registered vehicles, so it’s presumable that foreigners (without MyKad) are not allowed to pump the RON95 petrol..

So, foreigners include Singaporean, Thai, Vietnamese, Australian, Japanese, Korean, Caucasian, etc etc..

How the heck can these foreigners read the Malay notice?!?!?!

But on the bright side, I saw the same notice in other petrol kiosks in both Malay and English..

Get smart yo!

MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia 2010 @ Sunway Lagoon

Two weeks ago on 31st July 2010, MTV World Stage Live In Malaysia is back!

Was there with Daphne, Joshua, and Satkuru..Found our way to meet up with Ginny, Vivien, and Natalie..

We got our passes courtesy of Nuffnang yay!

We reached Sunway at about 5-ish-6pm and it’s freaking packed already..The queue was pretty long and we managed to slip in at the front row, cutting our queuing time by approximately of at least 1 hour..

When we were about to show the security our passes, the sky started to give us a heavy downpour, really heavy one..

The organiser was pretty smart to provide the party-goers disposable ponchos..So I kept a few just in case..

So we entered with the poncho on and the party was about to begin with Asia’s VJs taking the control of the stage..

Namely VJ Utt (Thai), VJ Juju (China), and 2 more others whom I can’t really remember coz I don’t have cable TV so yeah, I don’t really watch MTV :P

All the following photos are taken from MTV World Stage Official Website, unless stated..

*The crowd with their ponchos*

The event kickstarted with our very own local pop-rock outfit, Bunkface..

Although some might be bored (people like me :P ) of their songs and antics but it’s undeniable that Bunkface has got the talent to get the crowd moving and a good warm-up before international acts kick in..

mng_8821
*Bunkface getting energetic*

Another thing getting the crowd moving is because of the songs..Bunkface‘s songs are kinda “household” to any music lover who supports local music..

4r9w8612
*ROCK YEAH!*

The crowd started to sing along as their songs are pretty familiar to any Malaysian due to its wide publicity and catchy tune and lyrics..

mng_8887
*Syoks*

After Bunkface, the crowd took some rest before the Korean girls group Wonder Girls came on stage with their sexy outfits..

IMHO, they speak pretty good English as compared to many other Korean artistes..

mng_9026
*Puppets?*

Honestly, I don’t know any of their songs other than “Nobody”, but I was pretty entertained with other songs as well..

They were in their signature “Nobody” golden outfit and the crowd started to clap hands, lift up one of their legs, and pointing the person in front of them, you get the drift..

mng_0060
*Singing “Nobody”*

After the Wonder Girls, the event was going down the drain for a while, no pun intended..

It took slightly more than an hour for Tokio Hotel to perform due to “technical difficulties” and the non-stop rain..

Continue on for more of Tokio Hotel, Katy Perry, and my lenglui date ;)
