HENNESSY ARTISTRY FUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~!!!! *raise hands up in the air and profusely shaking crotch*

It’s the time of the year for Hennessy Artistry again and it’s at Opera Club, Sunway Pyramid on 19th March 2010..

A little bit of flashback into April 2009 where they kickstart at The Loft with local artiste Caprice and international DJ Starz Angel..

Moved on a bit they had it at Zouk, Phuture and Velvet Underground to be precised, in on 4th of June with Young Sixx, DJ Yasmin and our homegrown DJ Lapsap..

One month after that on 25th July 2009, the biggest event of Hennessy Artistry held at Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club again with Ying Yang Twins, Fatman Scoop, Taiwanese hip hop group Homies, Eurasian Dominique Tsai, and local artises Joe Flizzow and One Buck Short..

Who could’ve thought it’s not the end of the Hennessy Artistry series, just yet..

The final instalment of Hennessy Artistry 2009 was quite a blast with international artistes Lenka, Boys Like Girls, Paul Freeman, and Hsiao Hung Jen at Quattro Club on 2nd October 2009..

Before I intro the artistes line-up, a little bit of facts about Hennessy Artistry series yo!

Hennessy Artistry has been going on with the tagline “Global Art of Mixing”, which applies to its mixology of music where East meets West, visuals, and cognac into a single entity with its unique and unrivalled trend..

The exclusivity to attend the event party has been the talk of the town all this while and this year Hennessy Artistry is introducing “Hennessy Mixing Zone”..

“Hennessy Mixing Zone” will showcase media rich interactive elements that is a first for clubbers..

• Digital Light Art FX Zone – the first ever light art motion that allows clubbers to creatively craft their own Hennessy design using multi-colored lights…The light is captured on camera and the finished visual can be viewed onscreen..The best part is punters can then download their personalised design from the artistry website..

The artistes line-up?

First we have Japanese DJ Sarasa who crossover selection of Hip Hop, Funk, Disco, Soul, Breakbeats, and House music will blow the house down with her blend of high-energy tunes and hyperactive showmanship..

She has performed in USA, Canada, Japan, Dubai, Malaysia, and many other places where her recent performance for Chingay Parade (Singapore) has rocked the crowd of 5,000 people..

DJ Sarasa is also a producer and has produced all the sound for Nike Europe’s Nike iD (Troupe) website as well as working with artistes such as Elzhi (Slum Village), Raekwon (Wu-Tang Clan), and Masia One..

Next up is Bunkface, now a popular pop-punk cum alternative rock group especially after they have one of their songs featured in Everyone Connects campaign..

Their first hit song “Silly Lily” was #1 on Hitz.fm’s Malaysian Top Ten for 8 weeks and #1 on Fly.fm’s Campur Chart for 10 weeks!

Bunkface‘s current hit and first Malay single “Situasi” has stormed to #1 on Xfresh FM and steadily stayed on #3 on Era FM for 3 weeks..

Having bagged the Battle of the Bands in UNISEL and Universiti Malaya proves this band is one of the attractions at Hennessy Artistry 2010 that would capture the attention of the masses and event organizers with their addictively tunes and fun-filled performances..

Then we also have DVJ G Mix, currently the one and only DVJ in Malaysia where this ocular grandmaster plays video throughout Malaysia’s club scene..

Locally, DVJ G Mix has performed at Water Festival ’03 at A Famosa Water World (Malacca)..

South-East Asia wise, he has played in “ClubKiss” in Thailand, “X2″ and “Dragonfly” in Jakarta, and “Club Lush” in Saigon, Vietnam..

Other than that he has also did the opening acts for various international acts playing in our shore, such as DJ Shortee Blitz from MOS (UK), DJ Stanley (Sydney), DJ Tang (MOS Singapore), and many more..

He has also been the opener for the Smartie Partie World Tour Outdoor (KL) and was the closing act in his resident Club for the Bangkok Invaders and “VIP Afterparty” for Korean star Rain..

Last but not least, Malaysian Beatbox Challenge 2009 champion Shawn Lee is performing to make your jaw drop in awe..

He’s represented Malaysia at the Beatbox Battle World Championship in Berlin and was ranked #9 in the competition out of 45 contestants from 40 countries..
