Chinese Restaurant, Tai Zi Heen @ Prince Hotel, Jalan Raja Chulan
Tai Zi Heen, one of the few restaurants in Prince Hotel offers a great CNY set menu which consist of 9-courses for Prosperity Set, Fortune Set, and Wealth Set for RM988++, RM1188++, and RM1388++ respectively..
Master Chef Ricky has specially created a host of sumptuous and prosperous New Year’s dishes in his special a la carte menu..
So cut the talking and go to yummylicious photos..
First off to usher in the Year of Tiger, “lou sang” is a must for foodie like us wtf..

*Ying-Yang Yee Sang (Tuna and Salmon Roulade)*
I’m not a fan of Yee Sang but this Yee Sang turned out to be quite nice..I actually like Yee Sang to be a bit oily and this is it!
The amount of oil is just right to go with the salmon and other condiments..I know some people don’t like it to be oily because it’s unhealthy, in a way..

*Braised Pearl Shark’s Fin with Fish Maw in Supreme Golden Broth*
I don’t particularly like fish maw because of its gooey texture but it tastes fine in this dish with the generous portion of shark’s fin..
The golden broth complement very well with the seafood and it’s quite appetizing..

*Steamed Cod Fish with Pickled Radish and Garlic in Supreme Soy Sauce*
The cod fish is nonetheless tender and juicy..The thick meat is to die for and the ladies kept mentioning how smooth their skin will be after that wtf..LOL..

*Master Chef Ricky*
This is Master Chef Ricky who did an awesome job on the dishes..More yummylicious photos after the jump..

*Braised Dried Oysters with Fatt Choy, Mexican Soy Clams, Sea Cucumber and Wok-Fried Greens*
Not too fond of oyster but this one was quite okay..I’m not quite a fan of sea cucumber and clams as well but overall, this dish tastes fine to me..

*Deep Fried Batter-Dipped Prawns Tossed with Fresh Lime Dressing*
This is one of the most interesting dishes of all..The prawns are deep fried and I would say it makes a good finger food aka tapas..
And here’s the portion they served each table..

*Deep Fried Batter-Dipped Prawns Tossed with Fresh Lime Dressing*
Most of us couldn’t stop eating this deep fried prawn..It’s not very crunchy but the joy of munching it was very fun..
The fresh lime gave the prawns a slight bit of sour taste and it complements well with the prawns..

*Braised Duck with Dried Fish Maw and Dried Scallops*
The duck here is very tender and the fish maw is not too soft, just the right texture to my liking..

*Fried Rice with Seafood and Baby Abalone*
The fried rice is of course like any other “Yong Chow Fried Rice” but the fried rice here is quite awesome-sauce..
The moist is just right and the rice is just prefect like how fried rice should be, rice should be pebbles-like, not stick together..It’s been a while since I last had such fried rice..

*Double-Boiled Hasma with Red Dates and Glutinous Rice Dumplings*
The dessert is quite nice, not too sweet and the glutinous rice dumplings are not too thick nor too sticky..It complements well with the sweet water..

*The glutinous rice dumpling aka “tong yuen”*
But there’s a better dessert!

*Guailinggo with Sago and Sea Coconut*
The sweet sea coconut and the water is very well-balanced with the bitter guailinggo..This dessert is to die for! Everyone was asking for second bowl..

*The usual foodies*
Sid, Witch and Saucer, Xin and Chai, Bok, Ken, and CK were all having good time all thanks to the fulfilling dinner and of course thanks to Prince Hotel..
I’m not sure if those dishes are available after CNY but I would love them to be available..STIM! TRY IT!
