Soul Asylum – Misery
Soul Asylum is no stranger to alternative rock music lovers..The band formed in 1983, that’s like 1 year before I was born wtf..
The band rose to fame in 1992 with their double-platinum album Grave Dancers Union, featuring their Grammy Award-wining single for Best Rock Song for “Runaway Train”..
Although “Runaway Train” was already a well-known song for so long, I only got to know about Soul Asylum in 1995 for its song “Misery”, from the album Let Your Dim Light Shine..

Frankly, I’ve only listen to English song when I’m 10-years old, that’s when I was in Primary 4 (1994), so I would consider myself quite updated at that time..
All thanks to the MTV shows on TV back then such as “On Demand”, “Top 20″, and many others for playing the music videos non-stop, for almost everyday..
“Misery” is like one of the hit songs back then and it’s no surprise that it’s shown on TV/shows all the time..
So here’s Soul Asylum‘s music video and lyrics of “Misery”..
Soul Asylum – Misery
They say misery loves company
We could start a company and make misery
Frustrated, incorporated
Well I know just what you need
I might just have the thing
I know what youd pay to see
Put me out of my misery
Id do it for you, would you do it for me
We will always be busy making misery
We could build a factory and make misery
Well create the cure; we made the disease
Frustrated, incorporated
Frustrated, incorporated
Well I know just what you need
I might just have the thing
I know what youd pay to feel
Put me out of my misery
All you suicide kings and you drama queen
Forever after happily, making misery
Did you satisfy your greed, get what you need
Was it only envy, so empty
Frustrated, incorporated
Frustrated, incorporated
Frustrated, incorporated (put me out of my misery)
Frustrated, incorporated (Id do it for you, would you do it for me)
Frustrated, incorporated (forever after happily)
Frustrated, incorporated (making misery)
Etc…
Not my type of music tho.
