Poor Dog, Shit DBKL

Yes that’s right..If you’ve been reading my blog since 2 months ago, you would have came across the post where I fed a stray dog and its new born puppy..
Then about 2 weeks ago I had the worst nightmare in an encounter with another stray dog which happened to be fierce, meat-mauling kinda creature..
Well, here’s a pic of the puppy..

But anyhow, yesterday morning while I was still sound asleep, I heard the dogs barking, but sort of like in pain or something..
That had waken me up and took a peek out of my room window without my specs on..
It’s the DBKL team, right in front of the porch cathcing the strays dogs, whichever they can get..
By the time I opened my eyes widely, the van had left..So I guessed they caught all of the dogs already?
But then last night, I saw the mother of the puppy (the dog that I fed) wandering around..Okay so DBKL missed this one..And also the fierce black one..
*When I was feeding the mother dog*
Then this morning, when I was out, I saw the dog wandering around again..Sniffing everywhere that she could..
I guessed she’s trying to find her puppy..
Well it’s not that the dogs are my pet or what, somehow I felt kinda sad and tears flowing from my eyes..
Okay lah, not that I really cried, but I’m really very very very sad and disheartened to see that dog looking for its puppy..
It’s like the moment I lose my mom..Yeah, call me sissy boy or what, I’m damn emo right now..
It’s not that the dogs will harm people, other than the black one of course..Why would people called the wrong authorities to take care of them?
And by that, I can be sure it’s Malay who made the phone call..Why?
Because the neighbourhood had been very friendly and being good to the dogs..When I say that I mean Chinese and Indians being good to the dogs..
Added - And also, the black one has been sleeping in front of the Malay house at the ground floor..So I guess MOST LIKELY they are the one who called the DBKL..
And NO, not that I say Malay can’t keep dog as pet..I know some Malays that kept dog as pet..And I’m not racist..Just talking from what I saw in the neighbourhood..
The are other people feeding them other than me..Not to mention the kids like to play with the puppy as well..
I guess it’s because of the black dog, these people got frightened and called DBKL instead of SPCA..
Well then again..Who can we blame? No one but keep on complaining and whatever sorts of shits that people dun really give a damn..
I guess the dog will keep on searching for its puppy till it dies because of depression and all..So long dogs, and cats, and my mom..

Wow. Thanks for that racist remark. Lets see, a Indian can pet dogs, so can a Chinese. Hmm.. lets guess who can’t have a dog as a pet. Uh..oh.. I know.. a Malay can’t. I’m sure they must have called DBKL.
Let’s look back at your statement,

Wow, you’re a dog expert. You definitely know which are the bad dogs and good dogs. From now on, I’m gonna remember that a black coloured dog is evil. Others a good and cute. Ironic isn’t it, even a dog is subject to racism. FYI, it’s a policy to capture stray dogs. If it has an owner, it will be returned.

and also if you wanna know..i ain’t racist..i mingled with Malay friends more than Chinese when i’m still in Government school..
and SADLY, they felt kinda awkward and teased me for joining them instead of the Chinese..now what say you? i know you want to say that their attitude cannot reflect the whole of Malay in Malaysia, or perhaps the whole world..

Sorry my mistake on jumping the issue. I just hate when things are implied base on skin colour and I just think that you made a racist remark. No offence, I’m not picking anything but just stating the obvious.

Don’t be too disheartened yet! The dogs probably ended up at the pound. But at the SPCA we make it a habit to visit the pound on regular basis to pick back the dogs for care and adoption!
The puppy is cute, I’m sure one of the members will have picked him out and he will find and owner in a heartbeat (puppies go very quick! It’s not true what they say about SPCA always putting down dogs and stuff.)
Of course we can’t rescue ALL the dogs from the pound but there’s a project going on I believe where pounds are going to be changed into adoption centers and there will be strict rules on hygiene and maintanence
Actually to tell you the truth most of the animals we rescue that have (sadly) low potential of being adopted are mostly tumpang-ing at the volunteers’ houses.
I don’t think the dogs the DBKL caught were killed anyway. Because of the outrage the last time they did that. Don’t worry, if I ever see a puppy like that in your pic, I will let you know! Or if one of my friends who volunteer more often than me see it, I will just tell her to keep an eye out okay?

Still, if there were awareness from the start this probably wouldn’t even be happening!
It is painful in that aspect.

It’s real sad that some people fail to see that animals have feelings just like we do. We do not have the right to treat them this way.

Man.. i hate it when DBKL simply catch dogs. So poor thing.. i hope the dogs are ok.. You have a good heart btw.. not often people will feed strays. =)

The one that have to take responsibility is the owner of the dog the leave the dog in the street from the start. Don’t spay your pet dog and when the puppies were born friends and relatives don’t want to keep. So, no choice, threw the puppies in the street and hence the stray dogs problem starts.

=( abt 3-4 yrs back.. my dalmation got caught by spca eventhough he had a collar n a license.. when i went to get him like the NEXT DAY..
he was shivering and his legs were bleeding =( and they didnt really feed him and suddenly he was covered in fleas T___T and we didnt even realise he was limping until we brought him home. and wen any of the dbkl guys come near.. he would growl at them which was weird cuz hes usually damn gentle @_@
i was damn angry i tried begging my dad to let me take home some of the other dogs there cuz they looked damn kesian.. hur hur hur.

i hate dbkl.instead of cleaning KL, they go do all these killing spree. they should clean KL more la. look at KL la..like damn shit lo.. trees also never trim. pay tax also waste taxes oni..
