Nokia IAC @ Zouk – Part 2, Opening Acts
Continue from Part 1..
In the Main Room, where ‘I Quit Antartica’ hailed from Jitra, Kedah, was the first band to perform in there..I must say that most of them didn’t like their music but it sounds fine to me..

*I Quit Antartica*
They were influenced by Fear BeforeThe March Of Flames and Isis..But I’ve never heard of these 2 bands and for me, the songs were like pieces from Slipknot, Disturbed, and System of a Down..
You know, the songs that goes “Whaaaargh dhaaaa heeeeelgh~!!! *with very very deep grunt voice*“..I’m fine with it coz I like Slipknot, Disturbed, System of a Down and the likes..

Well their first piece was not bad..I quite like it..Then after that, I joined the group to the Terrace Bar for some acoustic feeling..

*The crowd at Terrace Bar*
The band that were playing that time was Lurks..After that was Mohd Jayzuan from Ipoh to give a little of Malay flavor..

*Lurks on the stage with some emo songs*
Then it was Alda Tan of Cosmic Funk Express to do a bass clinic, giving guidelines of what can be done with the bass..

*That’s Jayzuan with Alda Tan during the bass clinic*

*Alaling*
The pretty Alaling has sweet voice and I guess everyone enjoyed themselves when both pretty face and sweet voice combined together..
After that I hang around around Velvet Underground for a different flavor, DJ mix and Hip hop..The room was quite empty at that time, around 5pm..
Perhaps it’s still early or something..

*That’s Skyler (blue) and her friend with the WTF hand sign*
After a while in Velvet, it was Bo-Grandeur of Decibel with his afrodisiac hair, showing off his hands and composition skills on the DJ-mix apparatus..

Well, wasn’t really paying much attention on it but I guessed it has nice composition and all, coz there were 2 fella shuffling there, not at PD with DJ Tiesto..LOL..

*Nicky C, been DJ-ing for almost 18 years*
Anyhow, the bloggers were more impressed with David Lai’s magic trick..I guess they weren’t really like DJ or Trance or the likes of it..

*David Lai with his card tricks*

*David Cheong holding David Lai’s bended fork*
I guess that’s about it for the Opening Acts..Will finish it off with the Closing Acts very soon..Adios..
the blue goodie bag looks tantalizing. what’s inside? (or you’ll explain next post?)
Damn fun. Sadly I couldn’t attend. T_T
lolz so i see you’re ok with THAT kind of music… =) then u shake ur head also… with ur long hair haha
